Change of beliefs
JC worked with MH, who wanted to change her beliefs about something - specifically, about what she had to do to get that thing.
The process was to ask MH to go back to the place where she learned these beliefs, which she said was messages from adults, when she was a child, and to place the messages in a box then take them with her to present. The adult MH reviewed each message, before putting new messages in a box and taking it back to the same childhood scene, which MH relieved. Then JC asked MH to relieve relevant life experiences with the new box of messages and beliefs.
Conclusion:this seemed to work well as a symbolic way of changing beliefs without working on the specific detail.
Just observationally sharing specific actions I noticed after this session working with by beliefs around money:
ReplyDelete1. Day after this work with JC on money beliefs (in which I shared little actual content from my life with him), I received a call that the closing of the sale of my home has been moved up by 11 months, which promises to put money in my pocket by next month.
2. A few days later, I produced my first online poetry event that drew customers who donated much more generously than expected; this event this led to being connected to a future corporate client.
3. I noticed and finally used a $300 gift card that had been repeatedly disappearing and reappearing in my home for three years.
Appreciate when our group practice finds its way into positive changes in my life.
